People visit us from all over southern England and beyond, seeking our exceptional collection—over 350 varieties, grown with nearly 100 years of expertise!

Our 40 acres of beautiful Berkshire countryside is now in the care of the fifth generation of our family. Brothers Mark, Peter, Alan, and Tim Goold are hands-on in running our independent family firm. We look forward to assisting you and hope you will get as much joy from owning our plants as we do from growing them.

The business was founded by Mr. Henry Street at the beginning of the 1900s. Henry had three daughters, the eldest being Molly, who married Reginald Goold. Together, they continued rose growing at West End, near Woking, and eventually, the nursery was taken over by Molly and Reg’s son, Henry, in the 1970s.

In 1985, we moved to Arborfield, where cleaner soil and larger premises allowed for expansion. This transition enabled Henry’s four sons—Mark, Alan, Peter, and Tim—to join the business, which they now run with dedication and passion.
